Starting a Sydney
Starting a Sydney-based Support Group
for Former Mormons
Colossians 1:28, 29 28Whom
we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may
present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 29Whereunto I also
labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. (KJV)
(Emphasis added)
NOTE: The Greek word for
“perfect’ means “mature” or “complete”, not flawless. The English Standard
Version, which is “essentially literal “ translation, renders
“we may present
every one
mature in Christ.

We often receive enquiries from :
l
Mormons who are questioning Mormonism, but have
fears of leaving the Mormon Church. They are afraid to share their doubts with
their spouses and family members. Why? Because they are likely to lose their
families and their jobs, fear becoming apostate and losing their patriarchal
blessing by leaving the Mormon Church.
l
Ex-Mormons who do shop around churches, looking
for an ideal church without success, then, because of family pressures etc.,
fall back into the Mormon Church even though they know that there is no truth in
it.
We would like to start a Sydney based support group for
former Mormons and Mormons-in-transition which could help people who are
struggling. We plan to meet once or twice or even four times a year.
We would like to know how many of you are interested in
such a group.
